Marco the team leader
and stunt coordinator has built and designed his family of Minis over
the past seven years.
The Bug which took
some three months to build has a 1300cc metro engine and is just 7ft
long and believe it of not can be transported inside a short wheel base
Transit Van. It also has strengthened floor pan and roll cage out,
adjustable shock absorbers and sump guard. Because of its short length
you will see it perform some remarkable stunts - handbrake turns
doughnuts, 360 spins and lots of high speed action.
The Minitour was first
built for grass track racing - has a 1300cc Metro engine. The car has
been made as light as possible, the rear floor panel has been chopped
out altogether, doors have been removed and door skins welded back and a
roll cage fitted. With adjustable suspension, rear biased brakes and
slick tyres this makes the Minitour the most fun to drive on both wet
and dry grass. This is the fastest of all the minis in the family. It
takes a lot of skilful handling because of the brute power under the
bonnet and the rear biased breaks and slick tyres make it a real handful
to stop.
Top Tip: The only way to stop this car is to spin it out.
The MegaMini is a
double engine 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steer beast with 2 x 1300 metro
engines. Each end has its own fuel tank and battery making each end
drivable independent of the other. When linked together 1 end is driven
in 1st and 2nd gear and the other end in reverse.
It’s the ultimate 2 litre mini (or very nearly). It’s the only vehicle
on the planet which is blown up, blown apart, raced in 2 halves and
reassembled in a matter of seconds ready to raz again.
Top Tip: When driving the MegaMini blown apart, do so as if on snow and
ice. A straight line is virtually impossible.
Currently included in the show is a variety of motocross
bikes, quad bikes, and off road racers. We are always looking to add new
machinery and new stunts. Our stunt riders average around 100+ feet so
extra machinery i.e. traction engines, trucks, trikes, cars, 4x4s are
all welcome in the arena to be jumped over. |
